Obituary: Samuel Paradiso
Samuel Paradiso, a member of BRHG passed away this summer.
Since 2006 BRHG have organised over 500 events; staging walks, talks, gigs, recreations, films, and exhibitions. We also have several active research projects, and have published over 80 books and pamphlets.
BRHG is NOT funded by universities, political parties, business, or local government, we rely on our members giving their labour for free.

The Eastville Workhouse Memorial Group have released new data transcribed from the workhouse death registers on more than 4,700 inmates who passed away between 1895 and 1914. These burials largely occurred in the private cemeteries Ridgeway Park and Arnos Vale and the municipal Greenbank cemetery. The full data and notes in pdf format can be downloaded here (for free of course!)
Coal Not Dole, written by those involved in the Bristol Miners’ Support Campaign, tells the story of the solidarity and support shown by the people of Bristol, uniting those from all political backgrounds, and from none, to raise cash and food for the strikers and their families.
